SCARS/TATTOOS: Bullet bandolier across upper torso from left shoulder to right waist-line; Chicago Bulls logo tattoo on upper left shoulder front; Star between the left thumb and forefinger. SUBJECT IS WANTED BY USMS. VEGA is reputed to be a gang member of the "La Familia" or "Folks" street gangs. VEGA was born in Moreles, Mexico near Eagle Pass, Texas. VEGA has spent most of his life in Chicago where he has strong gang ties. VEGA has ties to Chicago, IL; SLC UT; Phoenix, AZ; Seattle, WA; Eagle Pass, TX; Moreles, Mexico. On November 15, 1998, deer hunters found the body of 19-year- old Trisha BERISTAIN on the roadside of a canyon outside SLC, UT. It was later determined that VEGA had been dating BERISTAIN prior to the murder. Detectives say that VEGA took BERISTAIN to the canyon and executed her with a 9mm handgun because he mistakenly thought she was seeing another man. VEGA subsequently fled the state of Utah to avoid prosecution. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO APPREHEND THIS PERSON YOURSELF. HE SHOULD BE CONSIDERED ARMED AND DANGEROUS.
